What we do
Smart strategy. Real results.
We connect the full arc of change: seeing what's possible, charting the path to get there, and the discipline to make it real. So much of what we do helps strengthen brands, generate revenue, engage communities, and improve lives, which is why partners and clients turn to our team.
Vision
We start with the big picture: where you're trying to go, and what it will take to get there.
Action
We don't just advise, we execute. Campaigns and partnerships that turn strategy into momentum.
Impact
We're measured by results, not activity. Revenue grown, investments scaled, people reached.
Our Work
Strategy, made real.
Great outcomes aren't accidents. We've designed five-year growth strategies, opened new revenue streams, and dreamed up iconic events, like Golden Gate Park's 150th, which went virtual overnight and reached audiences worldwide. A wide span of work, held together by a team that imagines the moment, then makes it happen.
Big ideas into roadmaps
We help organizations define where they're going, then build the plan and the team to get there.
Storytelling and brand building
Narratives, campaigns, and visibility that move people to care, and to act.
Advocacy with purpose
Public and government affairs that open doors, with a clear path on bottom-line results.
Revenue growth through action
Development strategies and partnerships that diversify funding and scale what works.
Events that become movements
Iconic celebrations and convenings, produced end to end, that turn a moment into momentum.
Relationships that open doors
The coalitions and connections, from community leaders to Members of Congress, that make everything else move.
Case Studies
Selected work, real outcomes.
Connecting housing and health to improve lives
A major healthcare company had the insight to begin investing in affordable housing more than 15 years ago, before the crisis made headlines. Today, that commitment totals $1.2 billion invested in 30,000 homes across 35 states. The strategy: a stable home, paired with on-site health and supportive services, could improve lives in ways a doctor's visit alone never could.
Working with our client, we built a sustained campaign of events across the country, bringing together local and elected leaders, community partners, and media to see the housing-and-health model up close and carry it home.
National and regional media attention, hundreds of community and elected leaders engaged, and a company now recognized as a national leader in connecting housing to better health.
Charting the next 75 years
A beloved San Francisco institution has served people with the greatest needs, providing food, clothing, and medical services with dignity and care for decades. When its leadership began charting the course for the next chapter, they turned to our team for strategic visioning, and to strengthen communications and development through integrated strategies centered on storytelling, impact, and action.
A plan to sustain and deepen the mission, integrating communications and development to strengthen programs, services, and community support.
Celebrating grandparents
With nearly 8 million children in the U.S. living in households headed by grandparents, a major healthcare company recognized the toll on older adults, who often face heightened health, mental health, social, and financial challenges. Our work has included major events with health fairs, grandparent pampering, picnics, and family connection. Community leaders participated and regional and national media covered the story.
Thousands reached, 100+ local stories, community leaders engaged, and grandparents feeling connection and appreciation.
A roadmap for the next chapter of science
A nonprofit reaching millions of students and teachers through science films wanted to last in the face of funding cuts to science. We helped build a three-year roadmap and made the connections to major funders to help them diversify revenue beyond traditional sources.
A clear plan and a wider funding base to carry the mission forward, through impact storytelling and strategic development planning for growth.
Seven days to put health first
Against $1 trillion in healthcare cuts, we helped our client build a national week of action. June 1 to 7: 150 events across 75 cities and 35 states, with celebrity voices like Lin-Manuel Miranda and Noah Wyle.
A grassroots movement that put health back at the center of the conversation.
The AIDS Quilt goes where the fight moved
The epidemic's front line had shifted to the South, where HIV rates are on the rise. We helped secure $3M in funding to display the iconic AIDS Memorial Quilt through Southern communities, creating educational events and new panels honoring Black and Brown lives lost to AIDS. Actress Sheryl Lee Ralph was secured as a celebrity spokesperson.
A national spotlight back on a crisis too many had stopped watching. Millions reached, communities engaged.
Golden Gate Park turns 150
COVID shut the park days before the celebration. We helped our client pivot through the crisis, bringing the park to the people through a free virtual experience that streamed legendary park concerts to anyone, anywhere.
Reached people in 140 countries, built trust in the community, and earned regional and national media attention.

Good News
Our secret sauce: good news with purpose.
Most firms treat good news as a press release. We treat it as strategy. The stories that strengthen communities deserve the same rigor that moves markets and shapes policy, because progress no one sees rarely lasts.
